Chocolate Cake Without Added Sugar – How Do We Get the Flavor Right?
Our chocolate cake mix contains no added sugar, no sugar alcohols such as erythritol or xylitol, and no artificial sweeteners such as aspartame or sucralose.
It contains 11 g of carbohydrates and 2.9 g of sugars per 100 g of dry mix, with all sugars occurring naturally in the ingredients.
Cocoa fiber from cocoa shells, cocoa powder, and tonka bean powder provide the rich chocolate flavor. Blackberry leaf extract and natural vanilla extract round out the recipe, giving the cake a delicate hint of vanilla without artificial sweeteners.
Why Our Chocolate Cake Stays So Moist
Gluten-free baked goods can easily become dry because they lack the gluten structure found in conventional wheat-based cakes.
In our recipe, different types of fiber help retain moisture. Acacia fiber, chicory root inulin, and cocoa fiber from cocoa shells contribute to the cake’s pleasantly soft, moist texture.
The result is a chocolate cake that tastes nothing like a typical dry protein cake. Fermented blackberry leaf extract and natural vanilla extract complete its flavor.
